- AESTHETIC DEVELOPMENT OF THE IMPLANT EMERGENCE USING MUCOGINGIVAL PROCEDURES, SOFT TISSUES GRAFTS AND OPTIMAL ABUTMENT DESIGN/MATERIAL
Soft tissue deficiencies and gingival problems before or after implant treatment are common issues and causes for patient complaints and complications. They can be solved with soft tissue microsurgery using mucogingival procedures and as indicated palatal soft tissue grafts and possibly biomaterials and growth factors.
The importance of combining soft tissue procedures during uncovering with immediate temporization on custom final abutments is highlighted and shown to affect the outcome and esthetics significantly.
- HORIZONTAL & VERTICAL RIDGE AUGMENTATION USING GBR & SOFT TISSUE GRAFTS FOR OPTIMAL IMPLANT POSITIONING WITH PREDICTABLE LONG TERM RESULTS
Horizontal and vertical Ridge augmentation using GBR and soft tissue grafts for optimal implant positioning with predictable long term results.
For over 25 years Guided Bone Regeneration (GBR) has innovated the surgical field of implant placement and allowed predictable bone regeneration for long term implant, prosthetic and esthetic results. This lecture will cover the biological principles and the attention to detail needed in the 3 main GBR indications and the protocols used including bone grafts, membranes, tacking systems, growthfactors, soft tissue grafts, biomaterials, tools & instruments & critical clinical steps.
Narrow ridges ( >4mm bone width) which cause implant dehiscences, Knife-edge ridges (<4mm bone width) and the vertical deficient ridge (<10 mm bone height) limits safe implant placement and often demonstrates significant bone and soft tissue deficiencies.
